Synthasite (Pty) Ltd (“Synthasite”) has established its Privacy Policy in respect of the confidence its customers place in it and in conformity with high standards of data protection to which it is committed.
Any personal information ("Personal Information") you make available to Synthasite either through the Synthasite Web Site or otherwise is done so voluntarily, with your knowledge and consent when making a request, submission or registration for services from Synthasite.
Registration forms contain both mandatory fields (indicated with an asterisk (*)) and non-mandatory fields; if you choose not to complete the mandatory fields then Synthasite may not be able to respond to your request or activate your option choices. By using the Synthasite Toolset and/or the Synthasite Web Site, you consent to any transfer of personal information, collected by Synthasite, outside your country for the purposes of storing the information where Synthasite and/or its agents maintain their facilities.

DATA COLLECTED

Web Site Visitors

For each Visitor to the Synthasite Web Site, our Web server automatically recognizes any header information that is shared with our Web server.
Synthasite collects only the IP address & header information, but NOT the following:

  • - The e-mail address of Visitors to our Web page;
  • - Aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit; and
  • - User-specific information on what pages Visitors access or visit;

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page and used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for our Visitors.
Visitors may leave comments or other communications on the Synthasite Bulletin Board and/or chat areas and/or send email directly to Synthasite. By doing so Visitors acknowledge that their name and the content of their communication may be made public. In addition, Visitors agree that Synthasite may maintain the Visitor’s name, email address and communication as part of Synthasite’s internal records. The Visitor’s contact information will not be used for direct marketing by and/or updates from Synthasite unless the Visitor has requested such information.
We will never share Visitor information or e-mail address with any other company!


Registered Users

For each Registered User to the Synthasite Web Site, our Web server automatically recognizes any header information that is shared with our Web server.
Synthasite collects the IP address & header information, and may collect the following:

  • - The e-mail address of Registered Users of our Web Site and the Synthasite Toolset;
  • - The e-mail addresses of Registered Users who post messages to our bulletin board, communicate with us via e-mail, and/or make postings to our chat areas;
  • - Aggregate information on what pages Registered Users access or visit;
  • - Registered User-specific information on what pages Registered Users access or visit; and
  • - Information volunteered by the Registered User, such as survey information and/or site registration information, including name and address, telephone number, fax number, payment information if applicable (e.g., credit card number and billing address), gender, categories of web sites the Registered User has an interest in, and any other information hosted on or by the Synthasite Web site.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual Registered User, used to notify Registered Users about updates to our Web site, and used by us to contact Registered Users for marketing purposes.
We will never share Registered User information or e-mail address with any other company without obtaining prior permission from the Registered User!


Cookies

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to:

  • Store Registered User’s preferences;
  • Record session information, such as items that Visitors and Registered Users add to their shopping cart;
  • Record Registered User-specific information on what pages Registered Users access or visit;
  • Alert Registered Users to new areas that we think might be of interest to them when they return to our site;
  • Record past activity at a site in order to provide better service when Visitors and Registered Users return to our site; and
  • Ensure that Visitors and Registered Users are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads.

From time to time, we may use Visitor and Registered User’s data for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. Visitors and Registered Users may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by e-mailing us at the above address.
Upon request we provide Visitors and Registered Users with access to transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them, communications that the consumer/visitor has directed to our site (e.g., e-mails, customer inquiries), contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them. Visitors and Registered Users can access this information by e-mailing us at the above address.
Upon request we offer Visitors and Registered Users the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information. Vistors and Registered Users can have this information corrected by sending us an e-mail at the above address.
With respect to security: We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
