Support Agent

SynthaSite's vision is to enable anyone, anywhere to publish their own website. We're a venture-backed start-up who recently raised our series A funding, released a beta product into the market and are ready to take the world by storm. We'll be growing our user base to 1 million users within the next 18 months and need a team of outstanding people.

Position:

A passionate and diligent support agent is wanted to join the team supporting the SynthaSite Site Builder. The support agent will be responsible for interacting, via email and web tools, with a rapidly growing user community and documenting bugs and issues in a manner that is understandable to technical and non-technical audience.

Location:

Cape Town, South Africa

Key responsibilities:

• Email and web-based responses to support queries using the SynthaSite support infrastructure.
• Diagnosis of bugs and reporting these to developers.
• Tracking status of fixes and communicating these back to the users.
• Documentation of Frequently Asked Questions, Tutorials and other support materials.
• Testing and signoff of new features and bug fixes.
• Working as part of a dynamic team focussed on producing a best-of-breed product.
• A "Get things done" attitude - we're in start-up mode, so every team member is jumping in and doing whatever needs to be done.

Required Skills And Experience:

• Familiarity with web applications.
• Working experience supporting users of software systems.
• Passion for the success of the user and the quality of their experience with SynthaSite.
• Warm, friendly and approachable manner.
• Ability to write simply and clearly.
• Ability to think logically and troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to filter information from the users into the planning and discussion of the development team.
• Ability to self manage and take responsibility for following through on issues efficiently and timeously.
• Organizational skills: ability to keep track of information from diverse sources and make sure that all issues, large and small receive the appropriate attention
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
