Quality Assurance Expert
Position:
A talented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Architect is wanted to join the team supporting the SynthaSite Site Builder. The successful candidate will lead quality assurance strategy and will be part of a software development team implementing Agile processes. This person will be responsible for leading the development of testing standards, processes, templates, investigating testing tools, and ensuring compliance with QA policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:
This position will have leadership responsibility to plan, manage, and execute all the QA activities of software development, including:
- Leading and performing test plan development and implementation.
- To integrate QA processes through all aspects of the software development life-cycle.
- Establishing the use of appropriate tools (automated and manual) as well as training other software engineers in their use (as appropriate) and evaluating/recommending test tools.
- Working with developers and the product owner to design test cases that inform development and testing of product features throughout all phases of the software development life-cycle.
- Acting as a member of an independent test team; leading a test project group; overseeing the design and deployment QA process; training members of an organization in performing their QA responsibilities.
- Identification of appropriate QA metrics and collection of relevant data; creating a test measurement capture process; reporting test measurements to management.
- Work with the team during planning sessions in order define and capture feature acceptance criteria that will be used during the QA cycle.
- Usability testing.
- Provide second-level support to the support team.
- Working as part of a dynamic team focused on producing a best-of- breed product.
- A "Get things done" attitude - we're in start-up mode, so every team member is jumping in and doing whatever needs to be done.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years in software QA.
- Solid understanding of the software development and software quality life-cycles.
- Scripting/coding experience.
- Extensive knowledge in the following areas a strong benefit:
- All A-Grade browsers: Gecko, IE, Safari, Opera
- Automated testing tools.
- Software version control tools including Subversion.
- Code tracing and debugging tools. - Strong ability to formulate and communicate a plan.
- Crisp organizational skills: ability to keep track of information from diverse sources and make sure that all issues, large and small receive the appropriate attention.
- College degree preferred.
